Description
The GearHooks® BR3/4/5 bike storage rack is a space saving indoor bike storage system for 3, 4 or 5 road bikes, mountain bikes, ebikes, downhill bikes or any mixture with any size wheels and tyres up to 3”. You don't even need to lift heavy bikes like mountain or electric bikes. It’s super-strong and tough enough for a garage or shed and also looks fantastic in a living space or office.
The BR3 includes the 1 metre long GearRail™ and 3 single bike hooks for 3 bikes
The BR4 includes the 1 metre long GearRail™ and 4 single bike hooks for 4 bikes
The BR5 includes the 1 metre long GearRail™ and 5 single bike hooks for 5 bikes
Please Note:
The number of bikes that can easily be stored on a 1M long rail depends on the types of bikes and handlebar width.
5 road bikes are easier to store than 5 mountain bikes.
To make the bikes easy to get out and put away, we would recommend a maximum of 5 road bikes or 3 mountain/downhill bikes per rail. The practical maximum is 3 mountain bikes and 2 road bikes.
Two rails can be mounted side by side or offset, one above the other. The bikes can also be angled to make them easier to get out and put away but this will take up more space at the sides.
In-built Security as standard
If you want to be able to secure your bikes on the rack you can use the loop on the top of the bike hooks and your own cable lock
Just feed a cable lock (not supplied) through the loop and the front wheel. For added security use a longer cable and feed it through the frame. For even more security you can drill out the hex head on the fixing screw to make it almost impossible to remove the hook. If the hooks are fitted over the rail fixings, a thief can’t even unscrew the rail. All of this will prevent opportunist theft and is a huge deterrent to even the most determined thief.
All your gear in one place
There's also space for all your other biking gear like helmets, bags, track pumps, work stands, spare parts and tools in between the bikes to really maximise the use of wall space. Extra GearHooks® are available for this.
You don’t even have to lift heavy bikes
Simply pull on the back brake, take a couple of steps backwards (the bike will rise onto its back wheel) and roll it forwards until you can hook the front wheel. If you are able to lift the bikes, you can mount the rail higher on the wall to keep the floor clear for easy cleaning.
Quick and easy to fit
No need to drill 4 holes for each hook. Once you have fixed the GearRail™ to the wall, with just 3 heavy duty fixings, you’ll never need to drill another hole. You can fit, move and adjust the bike hooks and accessory hooks with just an Allen key.
Once they are locked in place the hooks cannot drop off or move about so it’s just like a fully welded rack.

We spent August bank holiday clearing out our garage (yep, living the dream!), which had gotten completely out of control and was really stressing us out. After 4 charity shop runs and 2 trips to the dump, and having managed to find a shelf/hook for just about everything else, the pièce de résistance was installing our Gear Hooks, and I'm so impressed! The quality of the whole thing (including the wall fixings) is excellent; the instructions are clear and really easy to follow; one wall bracket easily holds all four full-size, hybrid bikes, and it doesn't require any major strength to mount them. I cannot tell you how good they look, and how much neater it is than having them sitting on the floor! It also means they're not resting against each other, which has always caused damage when the kids try to take them out unaided. I keep making excuses to go to the garage so I can marvel at our handiwork again 😂 I'm so pleased and would totally recommend this product and company!
4 hook rack is great. Thought it would be tight to get 4 bikes on it but fits great and easy to get on and off.
A tad pricey for what it is, but it is good quality.
I brought two meter long bike hook sets, with the intention of hanging four road bikes on one and three straight barred bikes on the other. This is a reasonably well designed product and is strong and seemingly robust when fitted. However, it disappointed in two ways. Firstly the bikes are very crowded and placing and removing a bike can be quite tricky as the handlebars get easily tangled. The bar needs to be longer to allow more space. The road bikes I decided to hang off the ground and this works well except for the point made earlier re spacing. However, my long handlebar bikes, which are heavier I decided to follow the recommendation to have them rest on the floor when hung. I followed the measurements recommended very precisely checking several times before fitting, but after fitting they tend to fall into each other. They do not hang well. They are not far enough from the ground. The idea is a good one, the quality also seems good, but the fitting does not meet the expectation as advertised and described. Therefore I would conclude it did not meet my expectations. I used to hang my bikes from a simple strong hook screwed into a roof beam. This worked more effectively and was about 10% of the cost.

You shouldn't have any problems with 4 bikes per rail, especially road bikes.
Please read the product descriptions and the documentation again. The width of the handlebars is a limitation that we talk about a lot in both.
You can hang road bikes 'top to tail' to minimise this problem.
With mountain bikes, with the back wheel on the ground, you can tilt the front wheels to avoid all the handlebars touching.
If you need to space the bikes out more you can buy another rail. Delivery will be free with your code which we have extended for 12 months.
If none of this works there are other solutions we can try, like the Flying V and I can post you more wall plugs so you can try this.

I was put onto Gear hooks by our neighbours and have had them installed for a month or so now and it feels rock solid and has cleared my garage floor of all the bikes.
The feel a little big for some of the smaller kids bikes but not a big deal.
Drilling anchors into brick needs a good drill and masonry bit and a bit of sweat, but not a fault of the hooks. You'd have to do this for any system, and the fact that it's a bar and only 3 anchors required into the brick made life easier.
Would highly recommend these.
