The best way to mount a skateboard on the wall

Display and store your skateboard collection with a custom built GearHooks® SKR2/4/6/8 skateboard rack.

Whether you've got shortboards, longboards, cruisers, old school boards or a mixture of boards, they will all look great on the rack.

You can choose a skateboard rack with just a couple of GearHooks®, add to it later or get one fully loaded that will take 8 boards. If you don't fill the rack straight away you can store helmets, clothing, pads and even skis, poles and helmets on the same hooks.

Each Skateboard rack includes a 1M long rail, in your choice of colour and 2, 4, 6 or 8 GearHooks®. Each GearHook is a 200mm long double prong design with soft rubber coating, specially designed to hold skateboards under the front truck.

Each one will accommodate decks up to 8.5" or more, any length board, any wheelbase and any nose/tail design. The 25mm gap caters for almost any flat or concave deck design including radial, concave, convex, w, progressive, tub and asymmetric.  

The SKR2 has 2 x 200mm long GearHooks® for 2 skateboards or mix of gear (with space to expand later)

Dimensions

The GearHooks rail is 1 metre (39.37”) long by 40mm (1.5”) high and 20mm (0.79”) deep. The hooks will protrude beyond this.

Remember to allow space on each side for things that might stick out (like handlebars) as well as allowing space above and below the rail. Some things like bikes will protrude into the room as well.

Fitting a GearHooks rack is really easy and does not require any specialist DIY skills. If you can drill holes and use a screwdriver – you can fit it in just a few minutes.

You only need to drill 3 holes. You don’t need to line up tiny holes either – the rail fits with slots so you can be a little bit ‘off’ when you drill but the rail will still be level.

We supply all the extra strong fixings you need for solid walls (like brick, breeze block or stone), wood and plasterboard (you may need some
extra fixings if you have plasterboard walls).

Once you have fixed the rail to the wall you’ll never need to drill another hole. You can fit the hooks with just an Allen key (which we supply). If you need to move or adjust a hook - it takes seconds.

Once they are locked in place the hooks cannot be knocked off or move about so it’s just like a fully welded rack.
